TH 400 swap
i have a 1970 pontiac lemans and i am converting the tranny from a turbo 350 to a turbo 400, the TH400 appears to be a little longer, i was wondering if anyone knows what i need to change for this conversion, my main concern right now is the drive shaft... anyone know?

Assuming your Le Mans is a coupe/sedan/ragtop (not a wagon) use a driveshaft from a 70 Gto or other t400 equiped Tempest. Pre 70 had different engine mounts and may require a different shaft, you'll also need to move the crossmember back, change the cooler lines and convert from cable to 12v kickdown. Try to find a 400/455 auto 70/72 tempest donor.

what to you mean convert to a 12v cable? i have a manual kickdown?

Turbo 400's use a electrical switch for a Kick down ...
 Not a cable
