TH200C any love for it ?

i remember that i use to have one on a 2.8 firebird
now that i remember it ...i really saw it as a really weak tranny
which cars used it ?
is it family with the 2004R used on turbotrans ams and buick turbo GN's ?

Hi,
The 200c was used in full & mid sized gm cars, it can be built to handle about 500hp, as a lot of up-grades for the 2004r will work, some use them for drag racing as there about 40# lighter then the od trans.

500 hp !!!! that's a lot !!!

Is there a table for that ?
i mean
TH700R4 - CAN HANDLE ___________HP
TH350- CAN HANDLE ___________HP
TH375C - CAN HANDLE ___________HP
TH200C- CAN HANDLE ___________HP
TH125C - CAN HANDLE ___________HP
or any transmission history site ?

th200c

In matter of fact the th200c can hold up to 600hp and it's only 96 lb that is one good transmission I have it on my 84 buick regal that had 3.8 v6 and now I have the buick 350 with a sweet cam in it

Hi viper...are you talking about the TH200R4 or TH200C ?
From what i know the 200r4 is the good one
and the 200c is the weak one

on the th200c

hello calderone yeah i was talking about the th200c no its not that weak it can hold up to 600 hp and yes i have it on my buick regal with the 350 buick motor and it handles very well and the take off is sweet --- when i find the web site on it i will post it on here so u can read on it --- sorry I didn't save it on my fav lol --- but any way all you have to do is some work on it if you want it to hold 500 to 600 hp
