TH200C trans problem...
Does anyone know if there is a TCC solenoid in this trans? The car wants to stall every time i come to a stop...after the tranny is warmed up. Seems like the torque converter is not unlocking...Any help would be greatly appreciated. The car is a 85 monte.

there is a TCC solenoid, it bolts onto the back side of the pump. To replace it the pump must come out of the case.
I would unhook the electric plug from the side of the tranny case to see if it helps the problem. There may be a pressure switch on the valve body that is bad. In 1985 I seem to remember that the pressure switch was removed from the valve body and the computer controlled lock up, I may be wrong.

thank you very much...i'll unplug it and see what happens. I want to replace the trans with a TH350 but not right now. So if i can get a little more life out of this one that would be great. I'm just a little tired of driving with two feet to keep her running.Thanks again.
