Th350 to 4 speed auto conversion

Hi ! I have a 1980 trans-am with a TH350 with a 3.73. My Transmission don't work since this fall and I would like to have a 4 speed auto . My question is What I have to change to make a conversion to a 4 speed automatic ?(cross member ,trans mount,Driving shaft etc.) And I would like to know what is the best 4 speed automatic trans for around 400hp .My transmission park neutral switch and rear light work with a rod that connect from the trans to the steering column and I would like this could work well too with the new transmission . I fond a used 4 speed transmission auto that is suppose to be a TH400 . But what I found on the web is that these th 400 with O/D is the same trans than a 700r but the real name is 700R4.
Thanks centerline for info

A TH 400 and 700R4 are two different animals. The TH400 does not have an overdrive.
