TH350 all the fluid came out

Help please!!!

yesterday i was driving the car, the transmission was in D, i pressed the gas pedal hard passing the 4000 rpm and few second later a lot of smoke started to came out of the bottom of car, i stopped and saw the red fluid burning in the exhaust pipes.

I saw all the transmission fluid coming out from the oil pan and the gasket, did the gasket burn??? i lifted the car and saw that the only fluid leak was coming out the gasket and the pan...i wonder what happened? never happened before. The last time the gasket was replaced was about 4 years ago...any idea?

help...

Sounds like you need to replace the pan gasket. If it were a pressure problem from over heating, there's a lot of other places the fluid would have come out before the pan gasket. Check the bolts and see how tight they are. Might just have been the fact that they weren't re-tightened after installation or the gasket shrunk over the last few years and the sealer (if used) just couldn't hold the fluid back any longer. Your darn lucky the car didn't catch fire and burn to the ground which happened to the local cops car last year where I live. The Crown Vic was a total loss.

How can i see the vent on the top? do you mean by "plugged" that the vent on top is dirty?
