th350 conv into 1965 Chev Nova

Hi my name is terry, and im new to the bulliten board,
upon converting from a powerglide to a turbo 350 in my 1965 Nova, and having everything go smoothly, right at the end of the project I find the 65 nova trans crossmember wont fit, the front of it hits on the trans pan, has anyone reading encountered this? im wondering if its possible to trim out the offending area of the crossmember, or if a new one is required? im concerned about pinion angle after trimming the crossmember, but hoping trimming will resolve the problem, wondered if someone might have done this before? thanks for your time!

Nova with a 350THM

A very common swap. My 67 Has a 700R4 And I moved the cross memberit back because the trans is longer but a few friends with Nova's just trimmed theirs to fit a 350 Trans.
