It's a 75 Pontiac LeMans 400\TH350. While the engine and trans were out of the car I removed the trans filler tube for painting. Next I installed the engine and trans but left the trans filler tube out thinking it would hit the firewall during the engine install. After starting the trans filler tube in the trans filler hole the tube doesn't want to go in. I don't see any obstructions and it should go right in. Just wondering if I should tap it in place with a rubber hammer or block of wood?
Also does any one know about the trans cooler lines near the trans filler tube? Is the top one outlet and the bottom inlet or do I have it backwards?
Thanks,
BT
