TH350 Mini filter

Can someone tell me where this filter goes.I forgot to install it but I gotta take my pan off to fix the leaking gasket soon.

Goes in the case. between the valve body and case

Oh boy. OK,so how do I know where to stick this thing after I remove the valve body?

Usually, it goes in the oil feed passage to the governor. Did you have the valve body off?

I'm sure I'll get flamed by the pro's on here but personally, I wouldn't worry about pulling the VB to re-install it. Seen many without it and have a 400 now with it missing.

Ya,I rebuilt the whole tranny and missed putting it back on.Just noticed it today when I was cleaning up.

I like your attitude about not putting it on.Now, let's see what the pros have to say about it......

I would not worry about it.

Many trannys are built with out the thimble filter in the gov feed passage.

Whew!!! LOL Thanks Tony!

When I put the shift kit in my 400, one fell out and for the life of me, I could not find anywere it fit! and I tried every possible place. Finally tossed it in my box and buttoned it up. It was clean and clear and been in for 20 years!

TH350 Mini filter

This is the same filter that would,if it got clogged up,cause your 350 to fall out of high gear on a coast.

Delete that sucker!
