TH350 small leak from a pump bolt...?
 

Hi

My TH350 is dripping at a rate of maybe one drop a minute from a bolt hole in the pump!

I can clearly see, by positioning a torch properly, that the oil does not come from above the six-o'clock bolt - it comes through the bolt's threads.

Anyone got an idea how this can be? I bought the TH350 used, now it's in the car with everything hooked up...

Those pump mounting bolts are supposed to have a thin rubber coated sealing washer under their heads to prevent leaks.

Your leaker has either no washer, the washer is damaged, or the bolt is loose.

You're right! I just bolted up the pump, not knowing that they need to be sealed like that... Thanks for the info :)
