The year model isn't important for the TH350 Trans. There're different lengths of Tailhousings/Outputshafts, 6", 9" & 12". Older trucks 72 back came with 6" Tail, 73 up 9". A Long Shaft/Tail Glide and Short Shaft/Tail TH350 are basically the same length.

I'm not sure about correcting the Column/Dash from 2 to 3-speed indicator. ShiftWorks may have something available.
