You can pull the tail shaft housing and remove the speedo reluctor and install a standard gear. You will need to figure your drive/driven gear combination, hopefully some of the tranny guys can help.

If the 350 had the long (12") tail housing, the drive shaft will go right in without a length change. Mount is in the same place on both trannys. You will need to remove the old kick down cable and re-install the TV cable and set it correctly.

Should be a pretty straight forward swap. If yours previously have an OD, the wiring plug should be under there somewhere too.

Jmark, I do not claim to know it all, so explain please? I have done several TH350 to 700R4 swaps and have always had to move trans mount back. Is it possible they changed on newer models?I understand on drive shaft length because of tailshaft lenth, but tail shaft length on TH350 does not move mount position as far as I know.

I stand corrected on the mount distance. The info I found online today states the 700 mount is 1 3/4" farther back than the 350. Maybe the original holes are still in the frame? One can only hope.
