mine didnt shift and finally after searching on here i realized i needed a vacuum line. I found the modulator and ran a 1/4" line from it to.....

thats my question, I ran this vacuum line and "T"d it into the line coming out of the back of my carb going into the valve cover filler. is this where it goes?

ive also "T"d my power booster into the same line.

so now ive got a line from carb to filler tube cover on valve cover, and it has two "T"'s in it. one to the auto trans, and one to the brake power booster.

any issues w/ this?

have not moved the truck, but did start it after doing this, heard a noice ive not heard before and had pretty high rpm idle speed, but all calmed down, so leave it ro remove it????

also ive rigged my connection to the modulator. couldnt get anything to hold the hose on. what are you supposed to use to keep the hose on that little lip?

Everything I have read says the trans modulator should be on its own dedicated line. I dont know the theory behind it but I have seen this several times

There is a fitting on the intake manifold behind the carb...that is where your line from modulator should go....not tied into anything else.

Both above are correct.
It should have it's own Port.
I have seen several share the Brake Booster Port with no problems, assuming the Engine has a strong Vacuum signal.
The PCV on the Valve Cover should also be on its' own.

2nd Pic here shows Brake Booster port on Intake with another port added/brazed for the Vac Modulator.
