TH350 transmission leak from dip stick

I recently bought a 59 Chevy stepside and the guy had just dropped a reco motor and transmission in it. It has been leaking and I finally found from where. The outside of the dipstick where it enters the case. I have 2 O rings on the inside and I have smeared gasket goo on the outside. I have closed it up and it leaks. Any recommendation on a seal that I could put on with tran fluid still in?
I would hate pull it all down for the 6th time.

Are you 100% sure that you are using the correct o-ring ? Have you checked the tube over closely for any cracks or grooves. If the dipstick tube is in good shape and you are using the correct o-rings, then I would check the bore that the o-rings go in for damage. You shouldn't have to use any kind of sealer on it.

Lokar makes dipstick with a positive lock and a good seal with a nut and washer on the inside. Takes care of this leak. The only place it doesn't leak on mine. haha

The converters bleed down on these when they sit. I think there is a check valve in the vlve body but it apparently doesn't work very well. All of my rebuilt ones leaked somewhere.
