TH400 bushing

Hi guys,

Does anyone know the "difference" regarding the bushing in the rear cover, there are two versions to chose from...
OUTPUT SHAFT BUSHING (narrow 1") and OUTPUT SHAFT BUSHING (wide 1,5")
Is the narrow type for small block, and the wide for big block ??

Thanks!
/Pete

All the TH400s that I have seen have had the larger output spline/bushing................If thats your case, you need to change the driveshaft yoke.

Maybe, I am misunderstanding the question.

I had the small bushing in the trans, and changed to the wider one. Just wondered why there was two versions.

Yes, there will be an new Yoke thats fit the TH400 (with short end)
The old yoke was from an manual gearbox, very long type of yoke... half of it was outside the trans.

Thanks for your answer.
