Thanks!

Some time ago I decided to paint my airplane.

During that process I ran across this forum. Although I have not participated in discussions, I found the information provided by members invaluable.

I am very happy with the way the paint job turned out, but don't think I would do it again.

Thanks again, Steve

Very nice job, Steve!

If I may make one suggestion:
Paint the top of the engine cowl the same gray color,
or possibly a matte black, to cut down on glare.

Tell us more, did you use a single stage urethane?

Thanks, R'OE

So far the glare off the cowling hasn't been a problem.
I used PPG Envirobase (water based) for the base and Omni for the clear.
It was a lot of work color sanding and buffing but I am happy with the way it turned out - a lot of seams and rivits to avoid.
Wish I had used a higher quality clear though. Just hoping it dosn't all fall off.

Steve
