Thanks to all

Thanks to all the people on here esp. the pro's like Barry, Martin, Vince to many to name. My Malibu is finally painted I went from just doing a cheapo get it done job to after reading all I could on here to a base clear and it was worth it.I still have to buff and wet sand to remove a couple of runs in the clear and some trash. But to me it looks like a million buck's.You guys got me through the body work, taught me to block sand, not to hurry, what compressor I needed.Your advice on safety kept me healthy.Even when I didn't ask a question by using the search I found somebody else already had and my answer was there.Again thanks I could not have done it without your advice and help to others and me.

Shows smart thinking on your part, too.

I'll try to post pics tomorrow if I can figure how to upload pics to my puter(it has been giving me fits since upgraded to msn8).The process was per directions here 1.Blocked with 80 grit pretty much to bare metal.2.repaired dents and dings with bondo gold .Blocked again with 80 pretty much followed Martin Sr. Bondo basics write up.Primed with 2k primer.3.Blocked with180 4.Re-primed blocked 220,then400. Needless to say as a body beginner I put it on and sanded it off several times to get it looking straight.5.Painted it with Martin Senor acrylic enamel with hardener per mixing directions pretty muchmade the color by starting with Ford candy apple green(metallic) and had my paint guy keep darkening till I got the color wanted. Then after letting the single stage setup for a while covered with omni mc161 clear. My buddy did the painting while I helped by watching and staying out of the way.He was flawless on the single stage metalic it looked great but we decided to clear it for shine and uv protection.Thats when we got 2 runs and a little dirt. The lighting just wasn't good enough. But it will wet-sand out pretty easy I think. The reason for using the ss and clear was reading on here of many having sucess this way,I do believe it came out shinier than regular b/c in my opinion.
