i kind of feel bad for him at this point unless he would like a paint job at a discounted rate and a commission based job as a sales rep since he obviously knows the locals

Minimum wage Bob...this is better all the time...I guess we would do about anything for a raise....LOL.

We had a bit of fun here and just hope we didn't cross a line...The OP is sincere and I will do anything I can to help...sometimes these things grow legs and head in a different direction...I'll Pm the OP in the morning.

Just a thought guys have you voted in the art contest yet...those guys busted there hump and I think more people should vote, if you haven't how about giving a little support...there is some great work there.

With all kidding aside, to the OP freefallin I think the best advise so far has been to go out to some shows and talk to some of the owners of the REALLY nice paintjobs. You know the ones that draw you in with that mile deep mirror finish, those are the guys you need to speak to. That would be your best start that I can see. And sorry again for getting carried away....

Ok ok...i will tell you how this will go down. I will disclose the information needed to establish a successful shop (such as location and licensing) once you agree the my following demands:
1. $500,000 (which i think is a fair sum since you will be making that much in 4 weeks or less, depending on manpower)
2. Partnership. (i want %50 of all earnings which i will have deposited to my account on a monthly basis.

If you agree to the above terms, i am ready to proceed with this business venture.

2 can play this game

Thank You so much for your understanding and your great sense of humor...I did loose a little sleep over this thread and glad to see that you are taking it in a jovial spirit.

That being said, Dennis and I will be discussing your partnership with us, however, him and I do think a lot alike and I have taken the liberty of sending 3 post dated checks in the mail. Please send me a PM before cashing any of them as they may only be good for patching tires or doing minor rubber bumper repairs.

As far as the 50% partnership goes, I am willing to up that to 51%...(that leaves "Monster 76" off the hook as the fall guy...he has enough problems with his porn addiction and cheezie fetish). As far as getting 50% of the earnings, which will be bumped to 51%, they will not be deposited into your account on a monthly basis they will however be mailed to in the form of post dated checks, again, please email or PM me before cashing, other wise you may be able to start your own condom company.

If you are agreeable to these terms and conditions, I will have my attorney draw up the paper work on the last check I sent him, this way we will save postage because that check had a tendency to bounce all over the Country...I'm sure it could make it to yours.

Thanks again for your great sense of humor. Someone else may have been offended and that is the last thing any of us wanted to do.

All the best my friend

Ray

It really depends on automaker's paint quality to begin with. I've seen some (Durango) that had so much orange peel, it looked like it just rolled out of local Maaco. Then you see a Mercedes and it's glass smooth.
There's quite a bit of difference between each automaker.

Seriously though...you guys would make a killing here considering your shop would be the only shop in the country that could do high quality paint jobs. People would be flocking to get their cars painted. You could charge ppl the same as what the other shops (or the top shops) are charging. Or even more! Locals wouldnt have a problem paying cz most of them are filthy rich! They will pay anything for a good job. Appointments would stretch months! And guess what?! Its all tax free income!
