Is there a HOW-TO?

Is there is a how to on how to rebuild a small block 350 chevy motor and a TH350 tranny?

You mean besides just about every issue of Car Craft magazine? Seriously, there must be a dozen books on how to build an SBC. Google (and Amazon) is your friend.

lol thanks, my ignorance kicks in alot. how about the tranny? i was kinda thinking on upgrading it but for now i just want to rebuild it.

There is at least one book out there on the TH350. Again, try searching "TH350" at Amazon. You can also likely find it at Motorbooks.
