Is there a way to tell??
I have a 37 Ford. It has Mustang II front end with new pads. I also have a 9" Ford rear end. It needs new brake shoes.. I am not sure of the year, or what it came out of.. Is there a way to tell??

Glad i could help, I was going to tell you also if it's brake shoes you need you can measure the drum or take it with you to the parts house when getting the new shoes. If you have the old shoes it will help also. JMO. Cole

Everything is still there. it has alot of rust on it though.. Nothing bad though.. Something like condinsation got to it some time. Maybe the whole works are ok.. There seems to be alot of material still on the shoes. Is there a spary I could get to clean them up?? About all I might really need to replace would be the wheel cylinders.. Not sure if they work or not.. About the only way i can think of trying to see is to put a mirror back there, and step on the brakes and see if the shoes move out.. I am moving the brake resivore up on the firewall.. To bleed the brakes I am using a small air compresser that I have a bottle in reverse.. It sucks the air in.. In this case it will pull the fluid into the bottle. When the bubbles leave the fluid flow I know the line is good.. Al
