Post These Edelbrok heads don't fit!!!!

Now I am realy mad!!! I tried wedging the Edelbrock heads in with a golf club to make them fit just now,
and the golf club broke! Now the heads are all nicked up and the gasket won't seal! A piece of the golf club
fell down into the cylinder bore and I'm going to have to take the whole engine apart to get it out. My engine crane is leaking
hydraulic oil I think I damaged it using it as a wench to get my trans-am out of the lake. Can anyone help me?
I need help with this. Thanks-W.K.

payshints man ya needs payshints... first of all what engine do you have?, pontiac did a bunch of strange engines over the years, could be a chevy or olds maybe ?at any rate the golf club has rendered those heads unreturnable and probably unuseable...schooling is sometimes very expensive

You used a wood didn't you? Next time use a 9 iron or better...and don't try to use the putter to get yourself out of this one because you will almost certainly damage the power band.

Geez everyone knows you can't do head changes with a wood...sheesh!

What an amateur.

I don't think he's answering for a reason. Maybe he beat himself up too hard over this golf club thing, or did he beat himself up with the golf club?? I would have never thought of using a golf club. You'd figure that if the heads came off the block with the motor in than the heads should go on the block with the motor in. Right???

Corenele, if he doesn't want the heads, I may be interested. I've got a 1975 455 and was going to use 400 block 6x heads milled to 93 cc. Do your heads fit?? If so, will the springs handle over 1/2" of lift??

A Golfer throwing away good US Dolars on Edelbrock junk, it figures. If it's carbs Holley kills them, if it's heads brodix stomps them, if it's headers well let's just say the winners circle has alot more Hedman and Hooker headers in it, I guess they do make a decent manifold, maybe they should just stick to making them! Either that or fire all the other Golfing engineers they have in the design room. The difference between golf and hot rodding is you need two balls (and one brain with a IQ higher than your BAC) in order to participate!
