That will add one more reason for not buying a new vehicle.

Never happen. Think of all the lost revenue from tickets for local communities. Where would they supplement their incomes?

That would take a huge chunk out of new car sales, which in turn would lower the economy......... and as stated above, how would they make up for the lost revenue?

It will never happen.

I stopped wanting new cars after ABS came out. Air bags are not my cup of tea either.

Like we said before, we'll be driving our tractors around before that happens.

airbags dont bother me, i know what its like to eat a steering wheel

this technology will never fly

what happens when someone in a car WITH this tech is trying to get away from her abusive husband?

what happens when someones badly injured in some accident in the middle of nowhere and the only way to get them to the hospital is in a civilian vehical

what would i have done when my one friend was about to commit suicide and the cops blew off my phone call as a prank ? trust me, i wasnt driving the speed limit to get across town to take care of the situation..... and if i had i would have been to late

truckers figured out that a lead blanket over the antenna will make them invisable, could do that if this actully comes about.

I don't think it will test accurate for 1, remote places and weather conditions can hinder a GPS capabillity to keep a lock on the sattalite, not to mention any microwaves or any other things like that, also hinder there abillity to keep a lock.
secondly the cops wouldn't get paid because they wouldn't meet quota.

this ain't gonna happen.

can you imagine trying to pass someone that is doing 50 in a 55 and you can only pass at 5 mph over the slower car. It would take several miles to get around him/her/whatever.

A speed-limiting device sounds more dangerous than actually speeding. Are they trying to raise fatalities?

I agree ABS is the dumbest thing to ever be put in cars. It would be fine if you could turn it off. I really don't understand the logic of ABS full brakes, no brakes, full brakes, no brakes. I find that sometimes ABS causes a vehical to stop slower in a straight line. I have also found that trying to turn while braking with ABS (which is what it is supposed to help) can cause problems as there is no real feel in the pedal.

I think if this new GPS technology comes out the only way its gunna fly is if the digital limit is set 10 or 15 over the actual limit.
