Thinking Mid to Low 10's What do you think?

FInally got the engine completed and dynoed, with and without nitrous. Went to the track ran a few na passes (ranging from 11.73 to 12 flat) then with a 200 shot.
The run was:
60ft 1.9
1/8 7.3 at 102
1/4 11.07 at 125

I didn't hit the nitrous until almost the 8th (was scared..lol) but realize it would have held it. I'm thinking if I hit it early and not baby it I should be mid to low 10's. My NA times through the 8th were allot better, but again like I said I was taking it easy. I'm thinking I should be able to drop 8th allot, which should increase my overall speed and et.

Yes, I was enjoying the ride, just wish I had hit it coming off the line. Some more seat time and I will. Actually I did try right afterwards, but it leaned and my system shut it off (good thing). Reason it leaned is I'm pretty sure I feathered the pedal when I hit it (scared lol). Better be safe than sorry. I will next time, which should put me in the mid to low 10's I think.

Okay i'm still got plenty to improve on. I still think I can get low 10's. Here is todays time

60' 1.8
330' 4.5
1/8 6.9 at 103
1/4 10.6 at 122

My speed was slower today but better 1/4 et if I can just work on my start I think low 10's... What's your opinion.

Not hooking at all coming off the line, that why my 60' is so bad. Once I get this part fixed I will be in the money...lol

Looks real good. Have you thought of using the Jacobs nitrous mastermind to help with the nitrous ? Seems like a pretty trick way to implement the nitrous in a graduated fashion as it says it does.Just google it , seems a lot of chevy sites are taliking about it. It may help your time pretty considerably. Just a thought.

That is one Bad *** Car & ET you got there obengston

If you can get it to hook better and hit it hard right after you dig in you have plenty of ET to still claim. Rule of thumb is every 1/10 you pick up on the 60ft ='s 2/10th on the 1/4 et.

I used 3 different Nitrous Controller's on my last few supercharged Fords (insert hiding under table here, ) and they make a HUGE difference.
What makes them so great is you set it up to do basically anything you want it to do and then all you have to worry about is putting the pedal to the metal...

Example:
Using a NX Maximiser Digital Controller on my F-150 Lightning...

NX Maximiser Settings
100HP Jets (math based on a 10.0 run)

Delay .5 Sec
Build Time 1.5 Sec
Start Power 50%
Final Power 100%
Retard "ON" and set at 20%
Reset Options Start
(resets to initial Start Power setting when throttle switch is cycled on/off)
N20 Delay Off
Stage 2 Power 40% (% of power change when the Stage 2 Timer activates)
Stage 2 Timer 6.0 Sec (6 seconds into the run it goes to 40% power)

As you could see I did something very different than most people do, instead of hitting it with more N20 at Stage II I pulled back 60% of the n20.
I figured it was all based on my short time so why blow it up at the 1000ft mark, hehehehe

So basically when I floored it at the tree this is what happen...

WOT = NO n20 for the first 0.5 second
Starts at 50HP at 0.5 second, then builds from 50HP to 100HP over the next 1.5 seconds
Stays at 100HP for 4 seconds
Drops to 40HP of N20 6 seconds after initial WOT

The results were pretty impressive for a 5000 lb Truck you drove to and from the track with cruise control, AC, and the Tunes Cranking

1.391 - 60FT
4.002 - 330
6.210 - 1/8 Mile @ 111.38 MPH
8.119 - 1000FT
--------------------
9.742 1/4 Mile 138.76 MPH

1.454 - 60FT
4.158 - 330
6.403 - 1/8 Mile @ 109.28 MPH
8.343 - 1000FT
--------------------
9.992 1/4 Mile 136.75 MPH

1.454 - 60FT
4.175 - 330
6.430 - 1/8 Mile @ 108.89 MPH
8.376 - 1000FT
--------------------
10.028 1/4 Mile 136.46 MPH

1.413 - 60FT
4.160 - 330
6.439 - 1/8 Mile @ 107.81 MPH
8.404 - 1000FT
--------------------
10.071 1/4 Mile 135.25 MPH

Your ET is already very impressive but get the 60ft down and WATCH OUT!!!

I would also suggest some type of nitrous controller. I help my machinist out with his car and he could never get it to hook off the line and had to wait between the 60' and 330' to spray. He now has a progressive controller and it comes in 20% at the line and 100% in 3 or 4 seconds... man this thing screams... runs low low 9s. Its easier on all the engine and drive train components too because instead of this nasty hard hit it eases into it just like how a turbo does.
