I'm thinking of moving to the USA, mostly because I think I will be more successfull there, but I don't really know what state/city would be best. I know that I want to be in or near a major city at least.

I'm looking for
-Decent wages
-Cost of living not too high
-business potential

the nice thing about the US is the opportunity to do anything. if a young black person can grow up to be a rich white guy, then you can do it too (except for that whole color change thing) i dont know about that particular job (automotive) most of that is being outsourced to other countries. i wouldn't consider Michigan a good candidate because we already have the highest unemployment rate and Delphi just filed for chapter 11, thats a lot more people looking for the same thing you are, come to think of it, i dont know who's NOT looking for that. good luck

Indy is the racing capital of the world. There are lots and lots of big-name race shops around here. Indy car teams for the 500 and drag teams for the Nationals. If you can find a niche and work reasonably hard and smart you can make it here. There are also defense related contractors here and also the medical related fields such as Eli Lilly. Opportunity is what you make of it. We have a lot of Spanish speaking people here, and the majority are hard workers. I suppose if I were living in abject poverty and saw the opportunity to live in the U.S. I would jump at it. I would do just about anything in the world to clothe and feed my kids. On the other hand, illegal immigrants have entirely too many rights and entitlements. Free health care, education, etc. etc. I don't even get that. I really don't want to get in to that subject, nothing good will come of it.

Yeah., the poor. But what is the cause of being poor? Here is an interesting viewpoint:http://www.lewrockwell.com/reese/reese226.html
You can blame Bush for making you poor, but that just shows how little you actually think about things.

Fiscus" I Here it`s very difficult for a foreigner to get a drivers license Now?? just a little FYI" here in florida the wages for most trades are below average! You would be very Lucky to get a job as a cnc setup man making $14.00 hr with medical benefits, cnc operator`s get about $8-10.00hr ! also most all employers are doing Backround checks as well as drug test for pre hire`s so you better be squeaky clean! add in the cost of a studio apartment on average cost around $600 month electric/gas/food that does not leave much to save?

Good ol' Bush saved your good ol' A ss. Someday when you wise up you will find this out.

If you can't stand this country, leave. There are plenty of sissy A ssed Frenchmen waiting with open arms.

The old west would eat you alive if you think what our country is doing in Iraq is wrong.

Clinton was responsible for the overspending that put us into a recession. Bush pulled us out of it. A moron is someone that doesn't look at the facts. You obviously don't follow current events.

Don't look at the world as an idealist. Look at it as a realist.
