thinking of SBC in my ranger? help me out
im thinking of putting a v8 in my 88 ranger ext. cab but ide drether have a chevy cuz i know alot more about them,i geuss my question is, will my stock steering be in the way, and would a chevy manual fit in my stock hole? if not what can i do/have to do? all i gotta make "custom" is like shortening the drive shaft,motor mounts and altering/changing the cross memeber right? will a cross memeber out of a s10 maybe work better? thanks alot any info would be kool
was thinking of doing up the 4 it has now but i dont think the 4 will ever do what i want it to... ty

I think a SBF would be an easier swap if you want a V8.
Hopping up the 4 is doable (check RacerWalsh.com) but may not be enough for you.... Lots of little Ford/GM differences would make an SBC in the Ranger a headache.... |
