Throttle cable

Holley DP with stock GM cable and Holley cable bracket. The Holley bracket keeps going out of adjustment. Does anyone sell something that works?

re cable bracket

I got a good one that bolts to the rear drivers side of the carb. Its chrome and even has the piece that holds the tranny kick down cable. It locks around the square part if the ear , although I cant recall the name of the manufacturer, summit, advance auto and even auto zone carry it. Youll find it in the chrome goody isle at auto zone or advance.

thats it

That's the piece of crap I am using. Mine is a Holley. It has to small screws that adjusts the cable. The screws keep slipping along the adjusting slots. I'm getting tired of fooling with it.

I was at the track and every run I would lose another 2/10ths. By the end of the day I was down over half a second. Come to find out. Each run the bracket was slipping and opening the carb less and less.

Would it be possible to either drill another hole and instead of having screws that allow sliding have just a hole and bolt to keep it in place. I don't know how much you move it but if you could get it set right where you want it then you could also weld it together that is of course only if you want it to stay there. I think I know what your talking about and that was a crappy bracket. I still use the old stock GM ones never failed lol.
