throttle return spring sbc w/ holley

Hey, im looking for ways to hook up my throttle return spring on my sbc in my S-10. I'm using a Holley 4150 carb. I want a relatively cheap way to do it but it needs to look decent. I have looked at different carb brackets and I did find one style I liked but it did not show it installed so I don't know what it looks like.

Here's the picture of it:

Does anyone have a pic of that installed on their engine? Or, does anyone have some pics of ways that they set theirs up? Thanks.

What are you using to mount our throttle cable?

Cheap and easy way is to run the return spring to the bracket or even the hose clamp for your rad hose on the intake.

I've done both with no problems and have seen many others done this way.

I have one on my 32 with the SBC.......
Works great.......and what I really like is the fact that it comes off with the carb.........if you take it off.

No photo.......but I like it.....

I don;'t know why there is four springs.

The triangle piece goes between the throttle shaft and the cable/rod end. The two springs connect to the triangle peice and go forward to the bracket.

1) The bracket on the right most side of the photo ....the largest piece of the puzzle.... bolts to the Holley......on the front carburetor mounting stud on the drivers side. This is looking from the top of the Holley...looking down. The bracket goes on just like it is shown in the photo. The large hole slips over that stud.....and the smaller hole takes a Bolt ( supplied in the picture ) .....to secure the bracket to the carb if you should remove the carb.

2) There are 4 springs.....you only need two.....but they supply a 2 sets..each set with different spring tension...I used the lighter ones....

3) the triangle shaped bracket with the two small holes and one larger hole goes with one of the long bolts and the spacers.....and is what connects the 2 springs to the #1 bracket and the accelerator lever. The two small holes take a spring each. The larger bracket ( #1 ) also has matching holes.two small ones. The spring eyes go there...and also in the triangle shape bracket...

The triangle piece is bolted to the large round hole on the accelerator bracket. Match the large hole in the bracket to the large hole in the accelerator lever....Use the spacers and washer so it can pivot freely.

ooooookay, i think i get it now. its kind of a puzzle the way it comes. one last question, does the mis-matching single spacer (larger round one) get used as a spacer on top of the carb stud for the large bracket (#1)? I noticed that the surfaces are not even between the stud mount surface for the large hole and the surface for the smaller hole on the baseplate
