Hey my names Tim im 19 years old and I had a 355 built for me and drove it for a summer and then my car burned down so i yanked the motor and tranny and put it into my next car, i was curious what a shift kit would do for me so i had a friend of my dads whos been doing trannys for over 35 years install it for me, and about 2 weeks after the install and no changes from the shift kit, my motor started making funny noises, so i stopped driving it and had a few ppl listen to it, no one could figure out what it was, so i pulled the motor again and stripped it down, only to find that the thrust washer was worn over one hundred thou, ive been told that it was caused by the tranny, something is pushing the crank from behind, my tranny guy is coming to inspect my tranny tomorrow, so if i find anything out ill let everyone know, thx for listening to my storey
