Tie rod / Ball joint tapers

Does anyone happen top know (or direct me to where I can find out) what the taper is on GM and Ford ball joints and tie rod ends. There appear to be two different tapers (well at least two) a 1 1/2" per foot and 2 " per foot taper. These reamers are available, but I can't seem to home in on which one is for what application.

This is the one I bought from Speedway Motors to use on early Ford ball joints. Also used it on a steering arm for my '53 Chevy pickup and it worked there too. I use the 1 1/2"/ ft.

The 1 1/2 is the most common.
