tier vrs rim

I am looking at a 275/60/15 drag radial. It is suggested I use a 7.5+ rim. I have 7" rims, should I stay away. Thank's

I think you mean ' tire vrs rim ' as a thread title?

id have to say atleast an 8 inch rim, anything narrower would wear the center of the tread.
