Tight skirt clearances?

If your running a tight squirt clearance will/can this cause HP loss? I'm right at or close to 0.001" ( 1 thousands) I'm running Hyper Sealed power pistons.

It's hard to tell if you mean skirt, squirt or squish. Piston to wall clearance can be run as tight as 0.001" with certain cast and hyper pistons. Counsel with the manufacturer of the pistons. Squish should not be run closer than 0.035" on a SBC.
