Post tilt steering column

i was wondering how hard it would be to change out my steering column in my truck. i have a s10 pickup that i drive and a s10 blazer that i just got with a tilt steering column in it. my truck doesn't have tilt and i was wondering how easy or how hard it would be to switch out. if it's too much of a hassle i'll say forget it. thanks for any advice.

Andrew

Piece of cake...if they are the same bodystyle trucks(83-92).
There are 4 bolts under the dash and 3 bolts on the floorboard. Unplug the wiring harness swap them out and reverse order of disassembly.
Also a column from about any rear wheel drive GM built from the mid 70's to late 80's will work.

Question

Speaking of tilt steering columns, what would be a good choice for my '48 fleetline? I want speed control on the wheel & Caution lights. What can I expect to pay for it from a salvage yard? Thanks

Al

Probably about $25 - $40
Not too high in price...make sure you grab both ends of the wiring couple too.

Cool

a lot of the cars i've seen have caddy tilt's in them i would mock up what you want and go measure some different ones till you get one to match.
