found this video and just about had a heart attack,lol. I was there as a teen ager. never ever seen a 9 second pass before. The video is long and not great,but it sure brings back memmories

Grumpy driving down the track the wrong way,yelling,,,,too funny.
In the pits the cars were ribbonned off. Can you immagine now days a driver sweeping the track? I think Grumpy was mad because the first and third run ,Landy beat him by a country mile.Landy may have given him round 2 so there could be a round 3.If I remember,Landy ran a 9.0,thats how far pro stocks have come.

Funny; I dont remember any 9 second vegas from GM either.Even Landys car didnt go 9s from the showroom

LOL Im pretty sure those are pro cars not stock LOL I think one of the commentators did say something about stock and putting mufflers on em & driving them home but he made a big mistake

I only saw 1 race of the 3 from that day at Boundary Bay airport.That was the second race that they posted.I remember it was several hours between match races.
There are other vids from BB airport. The green elephant,,,, That track was only open a few years. Its still an airport.Ive landed my cessna there a few times (sadly I sold it)Its an airport for misfit controllers,lol. Its also very close to YVR. I used to fly out of YPK (pitt Meadows) It was nice having access to airport fuel for my car and ironically I used pump gas in my airplane
