12 degree`s BTDC base, and 36 to 38 degree`s in by 3000 RPM, if detionation is detected, back off 2 degree`s until it`s gone, then your set.

Hi Dan, welcome. Just curious, why the 2,800 stall converter. I'm assuming it's not a stock rear if someone dropped a 350 in her. Just seems like a lot of stall for what it sounds like is a pretty well mannered engine. What doublevision suggested for timing sounds pretty good so no need to go there . Hope to see some pics when you can, used to have a Vega with a 350 in her (nothing but fun). Good luck.

Hey D morris
i bought the car in november of 2002 and did not know anything about the engine ,, i put a stall in for fun , and its a 76 Monza so i found a site v8monza.com that is strictly for these cars and i put a 3.42 posi in it from a 93 s-10 4x4 ,, front spindles from an s-10 85 model 2wd ... larger brakes for stopping power so i am in th eearly stages ,, i love it so far , heres a pic ,, or e mail me @ warmstrong@mobis.com
