One reply to my previous question said ,check to see if the pistons hit and bent the valves but aren't the pistons in a corvette and most chev350's flycut to eliminate that sort of problem? I know Jap cars have that problem but I understood that they didn't flycut their pistons and thats why they had such problems. I v'e also been told that corvette uses plastic timing gears and that they shear if you constantly pull holeshots and such. Any help appreciated

Your pistons won't hit your valves on that 350. Some of the hi-perf ones with high compression i the 60s and early 70s might.
