Yes 13.5:1 and 114 race gas. I know 900hp is do able but I don't have 15 to 20k to do it. I have 3500$ for almost 700hp and I can win with that so I'm happy. My heads have a lot taken off of them and I don't have much room left to go to a bigger cam. I just need it to run top notch so I can go kick *** again.

Tried a brand new regular inductive light and have the same issue. Pulled the motor and had a builder come look and put the degree wheel on it. It's all good but I'm still showing crazy timing numbers. I replaced the magnetic pick up in the distributor before all this and I'm wondering if the magnet is to close to the reluctor. It's only about .03 gap would that cause a false reading or anything? Took the car down my long flat driveway and the car runs great just tuning it by ear. My old man is dead set on that method. Lol any other ideas? Trying to track down another distributor to see if anything changes.

Another question, I changed msd boxes as well and went to a used untested to me box. Would a bad box cause bad timing reading?
