Okk so he is a head scratcher we have been working on for about a week.
He is the problem, engines seems to run good, a little rough and has a back fire around. We put the timing light on the #1 wire it works near the distributor but not on the wire near the plug, tried it on 3, 5, and 7 same thing. You rev it up to about 2k+ it picks up down there according to the timing light.
Heres what weve done
-Changed timing light
-New wires
-Tried HEI and then a Mallory unilite
- disconnected tach
-new coil
Im out of ideas. Its like the ground to the motor or distributor to intake manifold is dirty I know that would bee very rare just out of ideas. Anyone have any thoughts?
