Timing question and cylinder head question..
Okay so i just rebuilt my dad's motor (1969 302..) Stock everything virtually except cam. It's .456 lift 268 duration so nothing crazy. I was curious whats a good point to just set the timing at? The motor runs as it is now but you can tell the timing's off so i was curious what a good point would be to set it at.. Also.. when i had the heads redone a while ago i asked the guy if he could replace the valve seats with hardened ones and he told me that in 69' they were already hardened and there was no need for a lead attitive.. Was he right or do you still need to add lead if the heads are 69'..?
