Can anybody tell me the timing spec for this engine? It is all stock, except for a Holley on it instead of the quadraflog. the person that set it up had the vacuum lines going everywhere but where they should be, and I know the timing is off because of that. I rerouted the vacuum lines, so now all I need is a base timing spec. It has an HEI distributor, with mechanical and vacuum advances both working.

Rick, Motor's says there are 2 settings, one for intermediate and one for full size cars. They are:

Full: 8* BTDC @ 1100 RPM

Intermediate: 10* BTDC @ 1100 RPM

Both with the dist vac line disconnected and plugged so as not to lean it and raise RPM's.
