I purchased a car with a 1984 vintage SB chevy 350 engine. I'm not a gear head but have a friend who said he would set the timing if I could tell him what it should be.
The only thing I know is that it is a 350cid, it has roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, 600cfm 4 barrel carb.and does not have points in the distributor.
Is there anyway to know by this information what the timing might be or is it the type of thing that you just need to keep tweeking until it seems to run good??? Hopefully this is not a stupid question.
