Timming Chain & Gear set question :

One of my friend have a 585 CI dragster engine. We need to change the Timming Chain & Gear Set. We are not able to find the brand....and a timming chain part # to be able to buy a new one.

On the Camshaft Spocket, we find this part number : 3501-AX, Does somebody can help us to find the complete part number to put a new one.

The Engine block is a Merlin II.

Thanks, Stephane

I have another Question:

Need to figure out what camshaft we have in this engine ;
There is the number and identification on the camshaft....I was looking on internet and find absolutly nothing :

CR 13-52-05
SSRE 4200.

Does somebody can direct me in the right way...because we need to put new lifter and Spring.

On the lifter vertical bar...we see part # 502.

Thanks to help me in our process.

Chevy man forever!

Try these guys

The summitracing double roller chain is never let me down, $20 . After the initial stretch, fine.

Like Imsport has posted - SSRE is Scott Shafiroff Racing Engines. I'd contact them for everything you need to know. Go right to the source so there are no discrepancies.

I don't think I'd use a $20 timing set in a $15,000 racing engine, and especially not with the spring pressures of a roller cam.
