Brian I also had a" throat shear " that was very similar to what you have pictured ,I never used it much cause it weighted more that a VW Beetle ,and had to be mounted to a bench so it was not portable .A man that came in my shop saw it and offered me a 100 bucks for it....so I let him have it only to find out later that model sold new for close to 500 bucks! ...Oh well I didn't use it much but it did do real nice curves in sheet metal and it was alot easier on these arthritic hands.
