I had to replace the drivers side window glass. It has been in there since 1987 when the car was built. They say it is exactly like what was broken. The problem is....the new glass is gray tint just like the passenger window but........the new glass looks cloudy or milky when the sun is shining on it.
I took the car out to the glass shop and they agreed that it looked cloudy. We went into the shop and looked at a brand new 4x8 sheet of gray laminated glass. It too, appeared milky/cloudy when you put a light behind it. They said they would check their supplier and see what they have to say.
Anyone run into this problem when replacing only one glass? Could it be glass tints have changed since 1987?
It never ends does it????? Oh well.............that's all part or roddin!!!!!
Life would be boring if we weren't challenged once in a while!!!
