tiny little fish-scale-like flakes of bearing on bearing/journal
this is weird. little tiny flakes of the bearing on the bearing and the journal. wondering if any of these made it into the cranks oil holes. this #8 bearing has 3 scratches across it all within an eigth inch. the bearing looks kinda corroded but otherwise fine (except for the scratches). why would it do this. the crank journals are fine. there is another rod bearing that has one scratch and i saw what looked to be another flake. that journal was also fine, so the crank in harder than the bearing flakes. can't be a good thing. i cant see any places where the flakes might have come from on the bearing.
PS. i just chucked out all the bearings
