Thought I'd let anyone know thats interested, I have a set of custom aluminum valve covers, satin finish and I keep them looking like new with Orange Blast. I use a soft rag and spray the liquid on the rag then go over the covers. Works like a champ. By the way, any orange cleaning liquid will probably work the same. I have no connection to orange blast.
Almost all of the generic cleaners without ammonia or acid work just fine on aluminum. I agree that the citrus based cleaners seem a little better, maybe 'cause they smell purty.

My compliments on the clean look of that "T".
I've got some aluminum I'm going to try that on.
Question........you've removed and blocked off the mechanical fuel pump. What is right above it?? The electric pump, press. reg., ,it's hard to make out from the picture. Thanks, John
I like the sheet metal valve covers. did you just polish a set of aluminum sheatmetal V covers and add the grommets for the pcv valve your self ? is there anything in the other V cover ? is there baffles on the under side of the pcv valve ? I want a set of aluminum sheet metal V covers on my SBC street ride. and was thinking of putting a baffle in each V cover if needed. do I need a baffle under the pcv valve ? do I need a baffle under the breathers ? there will be a pcv valve in one cover and a breather in one V cover, maybe both. any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Mustangsaly
