Tire Fitment Tool - Wheelrite

guys - have you ever used that tire fitment tool from Percy High Performance called Wheelrite?

it looks like it is used to determine the best size of wheel and tire for your vehicle. I'm in that situation. I have a 72 nova that I want to fit with new tires and wheels on the back. No idea how wide or tall I can go without some type of measurement device. Will that tool help me accomplish that or is it for something else?
