Tire selection for supercharged malibu?

Looking for opinions on which tire to use on the rear of my 81 malibu. The car is daily driven from about April to sept. The car has a 461 with a weiand 174 mini blower, autogear M22W with 3.25 rear gear and Detroit locker. The biggest tire i can fit is a 275/60/15 or 28x11.50. I was going to run the M/T drag radial but have heard its not the best choice for a manual trans car. Not sure how the bias ply et streets would do since i drive the car everyday.

I think it should be the same, I fit 295 50 15's on the back of my 78 elky and they don't stick out past the fenders with 4" backspace.

Yep, just posted this in another forum here today. My car us tubbed, otherwise no way to fit 18.5's and keep them tucked in.
