You could ask the tire store but I am thinking on an 8 inch rim maybe a 265 60. A lot will depend on how tall you want it but stick with a tire that is recommended for the size wheels you are using.

i have a 88 firebird so i might be a bit of help.. maybe.

the widest tire you can fit on a 8 inch rim is 295/50R15. the biggest i would reccommend is 255's depending on your wheels backspacing

215/65R15 is stock on mine, i have used 245/60R14 with no problems, i have also used 295/50R15 with 10" rims and they rubbed on every little bump and cornering slowly so i dont suggest them.

if you got the wheels already with some tires on them you could have the car on the ground and feel around and see how close the tire is to the body everywhere and then you can get a idea of how much bigger you can go, try to keep it a .5-1 inch away from everything and inside the wheel well, if not it will rub when the cars suspension comes down(problem i had with 295's on the back).
