Tire size vs. wheel size

I just scored some 14x6 Torque thrust wheels. I was hoping to find what tire sizes will go on them... I did a google search and I get all kinds of crazy things but not what I'm looking for.
They should look great on my '62 Tbird
Thanks in advance

I think you can put a 235/75/14 on it as a max size but it is an uncommon size. 225/70/14 is a decently wide 14" tire and is just about 27" in diamater

Rule of thumb- Any size tire that has a face width approximately the same as the rim width (+ or - an inch) will work fine.

I'm also gonna suggest 225/70-14

Any larger and you may be pulling the tread so it will not track flat.

I have G-78-14 (approx 205/75-14) trailer tires on the 14x7 TT wheels, and those are a bit small for the 7" wheel------An "H" tire would give the trailer a bigger footprint.

The 225/70-14 Firestone Firehawk 500 is an excellent tire...
