Thanks guys, My hubby is going through the truck and doudle checking mounts and pins, But this only explains why the first two tranys went. Still trying to figure out why the 3rd trany is slipping. This k5 is built out of 2 jimmys and 2 blazers all k5s. The 3rd trany and transfer case came out of a 77' jimmy high seira, with the P/T transfer case, we had to modify(cut/weld) for the transfer case to go in. everything was driving GREAT, after 1 1/2 wk I was driving came to a stop light, stopped and was in Drive, started to go and I herd a loud clunk, and had no gas, I had to shift to 1st to get her to move and manully shift the whole way home(25 miles) 1st to 2nd to drive and it was hard clunk shifting from gears.......fuild is good, new filter, I wonder if its the torkconvertor?????? Its a good trany(350turbo) and we dont have the $ now to rebuild or by a new one or even get one from junk yard! This truck is a daily driver and a 4x4toy, no major 4x4ing though, just play, We need to get her up and running again before my POS car dies and leaves us stranded!
