I am going to be using 14" wheel rims and have some idea of what tires will work but they are going to be 185 or 195.. 60 to 80 R14's. Have not decided what might work It's on a 14x6" wheel rim.

The other tires will be on 15x7's.. haven't worked out what will work there either.

Any suggestions here?

It will depend on what they are going to be on . IMHO

I just recently noticed that the chassis I used is roughly the same dimensions of the Pontiac Fiero which has become populuar with KitCar builders.. while it is in no way a Fiero. To measure, I used an engineering tape for the dimensions. Hadn't been too concerned about the offset since the 14x6's were there originally.

It's about 13ft long.. 160.7" I calculated.. about 2,464lb base weight, 2,735lb (took it to a tonnage scale to weigh it) as fully loaded, uses mounting for a 5spd Manual gearbox on a 4cyl or 6cyl.

Wheelbase is a 93.4" (7 and 3/4') .. Height=46.9" (about 4') and Width: 68.9" (almost 5-3/4')

The engine only does 92-140hp @ 4,000rpm. LoL. Gotta do somethin about that.

No pics yet. Will have some in a little while. I noticed when the 10-12 gal tank is completely full its way heavier. I had to replace the fuel pump and the relay and rewire it.

My car looks a lot like this one.. by vette139.

Though mine is a front engine.. not a rear engined vehicle like this one is..
I used a lot of OEM parts. It has a custom designed hand fabricated body.

It's not what I would call a "Kit" car.

I started to build it because the vette139 videos on youtube inspired me.

I bought some Cragar SST 14x6 on 5 lug on a 4" pattern. I believe that they are 3-1/4" backspace... not sure. I orignally looked for their Series 61's which I think are 3-3/8" backspace.

It's sitting on spring fronts with KYB's GR-2. The front's are Moog springs.. the rears are Eaton. Seems to be pretty good.

Thanks, yeah I need to post pics. Don't have many. Will post some more soon.

I am working on the brakes (Wilwood), Suspension, Tires & wheels right now.

I don't think it's as nice as the Vette139 car but it sure looks nice painted Boyd Red.. wanted a blue but.. this was a beautiful Red I've seen.

I don't see the reply here mark10..

not much to report..

just got my new gages hooked up.

Autometer UltraLite.

I might have to change the front springs but we will see.

Mine looks a little better than the tikicar too thats on youtube.. but not much better than the Ariel atom even Vette's car.

If I gave it a class.. it would be sport touring.

If staying with a 14x6, I'd suggest 185/60R14 for the size. At that light of a vehicle, and with the narrow rims, I wouldn't go much wider because the tread would round out a bit and wear the centers. It will also handle like a shopping cart.

What about the 15x7's? what will work there?
